| Hi J4de89
I don,t know if you will be in Turkey now.I can honestly say that last year (2007) the staff at this hotel were very untrustworthy. Not only does the Manager of this Hotel owe an English woman £22,000 but he also left her penniless and to die in Turkey while he lived it up in the UK.The woman in question slept at the Hotel last year on an old wooden pallet on a filfthy mattress underneath the hotel swimming pool. She was penniless but they stole her jewellery and what few things she had left. The staff were adding drinks to peoples bills(which they hadn't had)at the end of the night. The staff would pester people to stay in the bar at night and ask them why they were going to another bar. There were lots of thieveing reports at the Hotel last year.
On a brighter note, the Hotel is in a very good location. It is only a 5 minute walk to the beach, mcdonalds etc.It is only a 10 minutes walk to the Marmaris Market, which i wouldn't recommend.(it is indoor and very crowded)Icmeler Market is a lot better and open air.Take an orange and white dolmus from the main street(i think 1.75 YTL) This will drop you off outside icmeler market and is only a 10 minute bus ride away.
Marmaris is a lovely place, don't be afraid to haggle and if the bars and restaurants try to hassle you, just say a firm NO.They can now be closed down if they are caught hassling people.
The weather is always wonderfful and July and August is the hottest time.It easily reaches the 40s.Food in Marmaris is plentiful(always english food available if wanted)
Have a wonderful holiday and if you want to hire a safe they usually cost around £10 per week. The air conditioning is about £25 for 1 week or £45 for 2 weeks. Also check your money when you go to the change offices. If possible work out before hand how much you will get and ask them to show you on their calculator.
Take plenty of sun lotion, you will need it.
Have a few Effes for me(Turkish beer)

| HI - I was wonderingif you would comment on your visit to the ELEGANT HOTEL as i have also just booked and fly out out in 5 days time. After looking at some of the reviews i am REALLY REALLY SCARED. i'm trying to convince myself that it will be ok as all the bad reviews seem to be for LAST YEAR!!
Please if anyone has been recently could you write back.
