Marmaris in Oct 2006

Hi.I'm new to this forum,so please please be easy on me if i get things wrong to start with.
We have booked to go to Marmaris in Oct 2006 for 2 weeks,we have booked through Direct Hols at Maxwell Holiday Club,got it cheap so we are happy.
Please can someone give us some tips on Marmaris,eating places & drinking,entertainment,places to visit.::roll:

and weather still nice first 2 weeks in october

Please can someone give me a little insight
of marmaris as i am going in October the 2nd and this will be my first time,
i just wanted to know what the beaches are like , weather the big market and all attractions that are on offer their , i.e watersports,boat trips,fishing,safari etc

I went to Mamaris May 10th 2006 plenty of shops plenty places to eat the food is cheap and did not have a bad meal anywhere even enjoyed a chinese meal dont remember the names ate in so many places really enjoyed never stopped laughed went on 2 boats trips 1 to turtle island and for a mud bath all in 1 l laughed till l cryed it was fun the other was diving off the boat into the sea drinks and food included on 2nd boat trip it works out cheaper local drinks if you like them the turkish bathes is good have it before you sunbathe as it takes your tan off your skin feels lovely after turkish people very friendly will go back again next may thats how much l enjoyed if you go to the out door markets watch your money dont accept first price if you not happy with the price walk away make sure you look around at the prices they all charge different prices enjoy your holiday

the dolmus cost 1 lira to most places weather was 36degrees in may lovely safari trip was great l was told could not find enough time to do everything buses stop for you anywhere dont have to wait at bus stop if one is full another will come along in ten mins approx driver will toot just put your hand out he will stop for you the beach as got dark sand water clean l dont like the sand spent time by the pool dont book yout trips with the rep it cost much more than the people in the kioks they are everywhere we books ours at the kioks and saved alot of money enjoy tukey is great l loved it
