Mauritious Illness

Recently returned from holiday:

dated 24/11/07 to 05/12/07

Have been experiencing symptoms of some kind of tropical virus
which commenced during the holiday (about 4 days in).

Continuous severe headaches, nausea, drowsiness, light fever.
So far over a 9 day period and counting.

Solved by taking nurofen constantly

Doctors unable to offer accurate diagnosis/ cure at present.
Although am feeling mild improvement.

Interested in hearing from others suffering from similar illness.

I visited a couple of years ago and had the same symptoms but could not keep anything down, two months after returning home I was diagnosed with Guardiasis. Caught from food been handled with dirty hands. i was very ill. I stayed at the Maritim, and complained when i was there and saw the nurse. the hotel was filthy, have since been back to The Residence which was fabulous.

Thats terrible. We stayed at Les Pavillons and had no problems, it was very clean and lovely food.
