My friend and i are thinking of visiting Menorca in sept can any one recomend a resort. We are both now 50, like the beach, traditional bars and resturants, local shops, harbours, not busy loud resorts. We have been several time to puerto pollensa in majorca which we have enjoyed but now fancy a change. Any ideas please?

Hi: We stayed in Sa Caleta which is not far from Ciutadella. It's quiet and a lovely resort. Ciutadella is great in the evenings, there are some nice bars and restaurants hidden away in the side streets. The harbour in Ciutadella has some gorgeous restaurants.
The island is not big and there's one long main road from Mahon to Ciutadella.

Me and my husband have just returned from Cala Galdana. We have been going there for the last 15 years. It is a quite resort and hilly depending where you stay. There are some very nice restaurants and a couple of bars. I would recommend the Black and White Bar which is run by a chap called Steve and his wife. The beach and surrounding scenerey is beautiful

I am going for a week in September to Cala n Bosch, 3rd year running, is a lovely resort set around a marina, very quiet after midnight, plenty of restaurants, bars, few nice shops (not tacky) and only 15-20 mins from Cuitadella by bus, good time to go as children back to school, mostly older couples or couples with very young children, can recommend the Casas Del Lago or the Roc Lago Park.
