Sunbathing

Me and my girlfriend will be staying at the Cant Del Sol in July, and she was wondering whether she will be able to sunbathe topless? She would prefer this but if there are rules/laws against it then she'd like to know?

The majority of visitors to the Mexican beach resorts are Canadian and American and they don't sunbathe topless. I don't know about local laws, but I didn't see anyone topless in Cancun and she might feel uncomfortable with old American men leering!

Hi Joleon, welcome to HW. Obviously your girlfriend is young, so take some good advice and go with the flow. If she sees other women sunbathing topless, then she's ok. Wherever you go you always get some men looking, it's what men do.

I have always gone topless abroad for the past 30 odd years, no I dont walk around topless, but I dont see any reason why you cant go topless when your lying down. I'm now in my fifties, and unless the law of the country says no topless, then whats the problem.

I do know that in America its against the law and in Malta.

I was actually amazed that women were able to go topless in Egypt, now there I would have definately said it would have been against the law. I went topless in Egypt, no one took any notice.

So, theres a few tips just incase you dont get much feed back.

I visited Jamaica last year and when i tried to sunbathe topless I received a warning from the local police.Wouldn't chance it,love!!!
