best time to go to mexico

could you plz help. me and my girlfriend are plannning on going to mexico preferably cancun in 2009 mbut are wandering when the best time of yr would be to go so we get the best of the sun and also a decent price. plz help

December to June as July to November is hurricane season. However I would also avoid "Spring Break" when hundreds of 18-20 year old Americans go wild as they can't get alcohol in the US - this varies but is mid March to early April. It's not cheap to get to Cancun as the hotel standard is very high and the flight is around 10-11 hours.

I agree with the other reviewer. On the 3 occasions I've been to Cancun ahave all been between Mid May and early June

We went at the start of may and the weather was fantastic. Wall to wall sunshine
