| I think the United Arab Emirates form part of the middle east. I believe there are seven Emirates, the ones I know are Dubai, Oman, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and I think the other two are Iran and Iraq.

To be precise the Middle East is really part of Asia.
It borders Europe, Africa and Asia as we know it, there are many theories which countries actually make up the Middle East but starting at 45 ° N, roughly we enter the Med by Turkey follow it down the Red Sea round the Gulf of Aden into the Indian Ocean & Persian Gulf. to 15 ° N, Yemen
As well as those Hils has mentioned if this ageing brain can be trusted from 60 years ago and my awesome Geography teacher constant reminder that this is important, learn it. I think some of the following are also part of this area.
Syria, Jordan, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Pakistan but don't quote me on this.
