No makings in your cabin, at least on the last one we were on, but room service is free for that morning cuppa. Water is charged at $1.25 per bottle.
If you are close enough to the Buffet its better to send the other half for morning drink, as room service was a little hit and miss with the timing.

Yes both are available free after your meal, in main dining rooms and almost all day & night from the buffet area. (sending you a PM). Charges are made at all Bars.
We personally have founds ships water ok to drink, but bear in mind this is picked up at ports of call. If I remember right there is a iced water machine to to rear of the buffet area, you can ask your room steward for a jug.

True Pauline, also most times you may get away with taking one bottle back without it being put into bond for you, or being charged corkage.

Hi Pauline,
Not sure about the Soda card, but suspect this is like the drinks package on other Cruise lines, except its for soft drinks. Only ever come across one that was on Costa, this allowed you unlimited soft drinks and ice cream. The average price of coke, sprite and the like is $1.50 or 1 so depending on how much the kids are expected to drink, its easy to work out if it is worth it. There is free OJ in the buffet almost all day.
Taking water and drink back onboard is usually ok in moderation and we have never had it taken away from us. (mixers & water) and even the odd bottle of wine or spirits. This really does depend on the crew at gangway. But my advise is to try taking a few to start with. even if anything is taken off you, it is returned during the last evening, before packing your cases.
