Hi
Ive just returned from the Caribbean . I was on the Oceana, and the experince on the whole was GOOD. A problem we had was that we could not get the cabin cool enough , they did try but were unable to get it to work properly, The entertainment I felt was poor, with the exception of Martyn Daniels who was very professional, and his shows were always fun. The ship was beautifully well kept. The food was excellent, in fact the best food I have eaten on a cruise.Ate at the Horizon one night , Food and service Excellent.
The Downside was the charter flights. poor quality food and in Britannia the entertainment was with the overhead tv, that was bad enough , but they were not working properly so you could not watch anything all the way through. However the Gatwick flight with Monarch was a disaster they had to fly on a smaller aircraft and land for refuelling and took approx 11. 5 hrs If they use Charter flights with Britannia , I may go with another cruise line.
On the whole I thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and would go with P&o again

Hi Micky,
Welcome to this cruise section, we too have been disappointed with the fights for P and O cruises, the transatlantic ones in particular, so much so that we switched to Costa for our Carribbean cruises, BA or Air France flights with the option of an upgrade to Club for just uder 200. On Royal Caribbean and Carnival we booked our own fights and got a great discount off the cruise, although not to be recommended during peak periods. You could try this with P and O if you like that shipping line.
If you can be flexable for your travel days, there are big savings, we flew out to Miami on the 16th Dec in 2002 and saved 600, on the 17th the prices almost doubled.
