Charging your mobile

Joined: 23 Jun 2005 Posts: 590 My Profile	Anyone know if you need any special converter to charge up your mobile as the voltage in USA is less than our 240V and my friends went last year and they couldn't charge their phones. Also the cigarette lighters in cars - are they same voltage so we can use in car chargers ? Thanks Only 9 more sleeps !!!!

Joined: 03 Feb 2005 Posts: 1856 My Profile	Hi Jus, 7 more sleeps for me ;o) We went to an electrical outlet, the ones you see that sell cameras and all that. We got a converter (transformer) for less than $10 or something like that, for the voltage thingy. ( bit technical for me that) lol. It plugged into the socket, then we plugged the adapter into that, then our 3 pin plug. And the car voltage is the same as ours. Yippeeee, not long to go. Hope that helps. Bex

Joined: 29 Jul 2008 Posts: 12 My Profile	hi we found the car charger we use at home was ok to use in the car over in orlando and we just put our normal plug in charger into one of the adapters and charged up our mobile phone with out any problem. I think you can pick up the adaters for a few pounds now ..we've left four of them in the villa so hopefully they are stillthere when we go back over!
