| According to The Unofficial Guide book, averages are: daily high 92 degrees F with 79% humidity. 17 days of rain, totalling 7.8 inches in the month.
Too hot & humid for me - we prefer the spring.

| Also according to the book, end of May to mid/end of August is busy - I was told that alot of schools in the USA have three months off over the summer.

| I have seen a few deals for may and June but am debating going coz of the cost involved in all the tickets etc and the thought of a 9 hr flight!
Arrggghhh! (with kids) and I dont normally fly in the dark which we would have to experience at some point!
I have done 4 to 5 hrs before with them but doubling it I dont know and the thought of going over all that water for hours with nothing under neath us!
I know May and June are supposed to be nice after that it can be very hot but with a lot of rain too (so i have read, Im no expert)

| It's likely to be very busy (especially 4th July for obvious reasons, any US public holiday means the parks will be packed basically!) and hot. With this said though it's more manageable if you try to have early starts with a break for lunch then returning in the evening and make good use of Fastpass tickets at WDW or consider purchasing Express Passes at US/IOA. Have a fantastic time! =]

| Thanks everyone, thats really helpful! Its a good idea to get early starts and then have a break in the afternoon, especially with the heat!
I forgot that july 4th is a holiday!! I hope that it wont be too overly busy but it might be nice to see the celebrations!!
Ive done the flight to USA a couple of times before, and the first was at the age of 8 and i coped ok. It does get restless for children but they play kids films which keeps them entertained and they will probably end up sleepin a bit too. (hope that helps in reference to Honey Bunnys post).

| We always go in July but usually the last two weeks. The sun is really, really hot but its the humidity that really tires you out. Don't plan to be at a water park all day as you won't last. We go first thing in a morning but by dinner time just have to leave as its too much. If you are in the theme parks and you're over heating head for a shop, they have the air con on and its a godsend!
Be ready for an afternoon thunderstorm at about 3 or 4pm. It usually only lasts about 30-40 mins then its blue sky again. Don't try and walk around in it, it absolutely wets you through.
Sounds like its not great in July but we wouldn't go any other time of year!
