Cabin next to laundry
Hi, have just booked on our 1st cruise aboard the Ventura. We have been given a cabin next to a laundry, will this room be noisy?

Hi,
Yes I would think so, but in general that will only be in use during the day and perhaps early evening. It really depends on the guests that will use it.
Try for a cabin change ASAP.

Cabin next to laundry
Hi we go on the Ventura on 18 July - Family Choice one. I have just got the excursion brochure through which points out the three tier dressing code, ie Formal, semi formal and smart casual. We booked the cruise thinking it would be very relaxed - ie taking children. Could anyone tell me what a boy of 9 will be expected to wear on an evening - I would usually dress him in very smart shorts, t-shirts/polo shirts and smart new trainers - will he be too underdressed - being a boy of 9 I know he wont feel comfortable in long trousers and smart shoes every night. - thanks

Hi LizzieMc,
Take no notice for your boy, anything would do but on the formal night it would be nice for him to wear a shirt and tie. BUT, please note no-one would expect a young child to be formal.
Some do dress their children up, but not many, he will not be out of place on any night if he is smart whatever he is wearing.
The age of everyone dressing for diner is now old hat, except for real formal nights, called Gala night or Captains night. Old sea dogs like us love to get the glad rags on, but as of yet never heard anyone say
'look at that man he is not wearing a tie.
Go out and enjoy your cruise.
Will answer any questions you have come on most nights between 10. & 11pm
