| Hey there, is there anyone else out there who is getting married on 8th August 2008. I am getting married for the 3rd time - H2B is 2nd time at Peyia Town Hall.
Not sure where to have reception tho - it wil be a very quiet affair - just the two of us - plus two teenage boys.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a really nice place??
Also it would be good to chat with other ppl who are either getting married on 8th Aug 08 or at Peyia Town Hall.

| I was bridesmaid for my friend there a few years ago the setting is beautiful.
There is many resturants who will arrange a small reception for you I didnt have one bad meal there and I'm fussy.

Thanks for the advice. We arrive in Cyprus a week before the wedding. Do you think it will be ok to book somewhere when we get there (seeing as there is only 4 of us) or in advance.

| I think you'll be ok to do it then most resturants will be open any way. There is some people on this site (i think one is called cyprus piper) who will be able to give you web addresses so you can have a look at menu and get some ideas of places.
Have you visted cyprus before??

| No, I haven't but my other half has..............several times......... and he loves it. I have been to lots of other Greek islands so if it is as nice as those I am sure I will love it.
Yes, I have seen the Cyprus Piper's comments on here..............let's hope he sees this and comes up with the goods.

Thanks for spotting me!!! Yes, I think it was this site I spotted you on. Then again it could have been another one LOl (you and your wedding, perhpas). I noticed you seem well clued up as to where to eat etc. Do I gather you live in Paphos? Lucky you.
Not too sure what we require really.............just a really nice meal for 4 people .............its a very low key wedding at Peyia Town Hall. But saying that, I think I would like the meal to be sort of weddingy if you know what I mean. We are staying at Paradise Gardens 2 apartments.....do you know them?

| Hello, my parents live in Peyia, and I was hoping to get married out there this year we are going over on the 30/7 for 2 weeks, so when u are out there, again a quiet affair like you. BUT I'm just coming up against brick wall after brick wall. I've been married before, lost my decree absolut - shouldn't be a problem as long as the court gives me a copy without copy' stamped on it, my main problem is I changed my name via a solicitor to my h2b name back in 1999 before our son was born, Peyia Town Hall won't accept the name change as there is no solictors stamp on it, and the solictor has since passed away,. contacted another solictor who can't do anything but do another one for £50 plus VAT, which I think is silly to re-do it with a different date when I have a passport in this name!! So at the moment I'm thinking it is easier to get married over here in a registry office prior to coming to cyprus on our holiday. there are lots of lovely taverns etc in Peyia, it really depends what you want?? Also, I'm not even sure they have any timeslots let in Peyia hall cause we wasn't going to book until paperwork was sorted. Let me know exactly what type of place you want to go after your wedding is it going to just the four of you or have you other guests coming out?? Where are you staying? Who are going to be your witnesses?? I can find out whatever you want via my parents - so please just list your questions!! Peyia is lovely and the weather is lovely that time of year, this is our fourth time out there. Can't wait!! Are you arranging this all yourself or have you a wedding co-ordinator?? Getting married on 19th September 2008 at Peyia Town Hall. There's just John and I going with our 3 year old son, Benji.
Never been to Cyprus before, so don't know what to expect.
It's my first marriage, but John's second.

sure you will love it and weather is usually fabulous in septmber ( not too hot but still great)

| Hi Sue - We've just got back from getting married at Peyia Town Hall on 15th May 08, it was fantastic. We used the photographer Photopapis & Sons and had 2 white Mercs from Jacks Taxis, they were all brilliant and treated us like royalty. There's loads of places for you to
eat - if you fancy a romantic dinner just for 2, one night - I highly recommend the restaurant Artio's in Paphos the setting is magical!!!

| hello Sue, i did email u not sure if you recieved the email?? We have now booked our wedding at Peyia Town Hall, u are not going to believe the date.............. 8/8/08 at 13.30pm. The first date we could have got married was the 5th Aug, but that's my b'day I don't want to get married on my birthday. We are going to go on the wavedance that evening from Paphos, and the only days they do it is Tuesdays and Fridays, so hence the 8th, although I like the ring to it 8/8/08 and apparently it is a very lucky date!! Can't believe how close it is.
