Paphos Wedding 2007

Postby Future Mrs F on Mon Nov 19, 2007 1:14 pm

Hi All,
we are looking to get married in the Paphos area, I have spoken to Thompson this morning but am a bit disheartened at what you have all said.

My main concern is their lack of input around the reception part of the day. We are thinking a marquee on the beach type of thing, does anyone have any suggestions or contacts to help me arrange a package that would include that?
Many thanks

Hi Future Mrs F

Well thats what the Tour Operators are like, again once they book your time & date it is cast in stone.

have they told you about the reception details or are you trying to arrange it yourself ? would need further details

Hi Twins 03, For a really flexible option for your wedding reception, why not consider hiring a Marquee? Most Hotels have beautiful spacious gardens, so ask them if you can then hold your reception there. You can then have your reception at any time you like. It also means that you can keep your party seperate from the rest of the Hotel guests. It really doesn't matter then if your Wedding Coordinator changes the timings as the Marquee is yours to use all day & all night if you wish. Have a look at the pilotevents.com website I think you'll find it useful.

The future Mrs F.

Have a look at pilotevents.com for details of wedding Marquees. You didn't say how many guests you are expecting so I can't advise as at the moment as to an exact venue, but if you let me know the numbers and details of how many are children (play area) or anyone with special needs (access) etc, I would be happy to advise you.

I am planning to get married in Paphos in May 09, I have bene looking on cyprus dream wedding planners website. Has anyone used them, or would they recommend them!

We are hoping to get married in Paphos Town Hall, then have the reception in the Karames Villa. Has anyone been to this venue before, or have any comments on it??!

Hi allison157

Funnily enough I was contacted to play at a wedding last year. The Planners were CDW & also the venue was at the Kamaras.

Lovely site vgood views & the service was excellent, CDW was on hand through out the whole day, actually quite impressed with Lakis

HI Kev,

Many thanks for your feedback, I feel more reassured about that now!

I am going over to Cyprus in March to have a allok around at more venues, but do have my heart set on the Kamares venue!

Take care

Allison
