| Hi,
I hope you can help me. I am thinking of booking a stay at the Caledonia Park Apartments in Tenerife in december. I was wondering if any one had any comments they could make about the complex before I book?
I look forward to any responses.
Regards
Richard.

| Hi Crustyfur,
Welcome to the Forum.
I am not personally familiar with this accommodation. All I can say is that it is regarded highly for it's standards etc. throughout the Travel Industry as it has recently been refurbished.
Maybe someone else in the forum might be able to offer more detailed advice.

| I have visited the Caledonia Park too and would recommend it to anyone wanting AI in Tenerife with good kids facilities. They have a great entertainment team for kids and a lovely pool area too. About 10 mins from Veronicas so nice and out of the way of all the 18-30s bar crawls n stuff!

| I have just returned from here with my wife and three year old daughter.
This hotel is looking a bit dated now, the paint was flaking off everything and our bath had two rust holes on the outside edge! It is also up a very steep and slippy hill, not really suitable for a three year old.
The food here was good, with plenty of choice and the drinks were a decent size. I have seen comments about only two drinks being alowed but that only appiles to alcoholic drinks and there are ways to get round this rule.
The pool area was cleaned every morning which stopped people reserving sunbeds in the early hours but it did mean you had to be up before nine in order to get a sunbed and sunshade. You have to see the chaos caused by this to believe it.
One day that we were there the sunshades changed to 'Caledonia Park' branded ones, everyone though it strange until the camera man turned up! needless to say the original quite scruffy ones returned the next day.
I can't rate the kids club as my daughter is only three and the minimum age for the club is four.
I would like to thank the girl from Going Places for recommending this hotel NOT!!

| i stayed in this hotel years ago and it was not to good. if you are not fit and well it is not the place to stay. it is high up on the mountain and above the wonderfully noisy tf1 motorway. every where you would want to go is a walk up or down steep inclines. i would personally never stay there again. l.a. is nice for the afernoon but give me los gigantes anyday.

| Caledonia Park is a bog standard 3 star hotel. If the least little thing upsets you, you are a whinger, or you're expecting 5 star luxury, don't go.
we've been twice and loved it!

| i have stayed at caledonia park 2 years ago and was given a 2 bed apartment. If you stood outside shop looked across the road there was some steps either down to the pool or some up to some aprtments with a sun terrace. Any idea what the room numbers might be as would like to stay in this room again
thanks

| hi tracy, the caledonia is 800 metres from the beach and its a very hilly walk back up to the hotel,so if you have problems walking you will find it hard.
if you goto eurosol.com and click maps at the top of the page and then click map 3 you will see the caledonia just above the red line (motorway) center of the map.
if you click map 1 this area is the best part of PDLA to stay, its flat and easy walking and from the beach there is a nice prom where you can walk to los cristianos or puerto colon, about an hours walk each way taking it nice and easy.
we stayed at compostela beach apartments (map 1 center right) and they are plain and a bit dated but enjoyed our stay there, there is an english bar round the pool and the food is good, the german bar next to it has entertainment on at night.

| hi tracy,i dont know about noise but i can tell you this,it is a very busy motorway, and as your hotel is above it who knows, sound travells a long way you just have to listen to the noise on the motorways in this country.
