Beware of the camera shops, the one to avoid most is called foto expert, these guys are good they will scam you, they showed me a camera, i paid 99 euros, he put it in a bag he said with the recipt, when i looked back at the hotel it had been swaped for rubbish, no recipt in bag. Heard many horror stories about this shop, so BEWARE

Another tip Laura, when paying with visa, don't let them take your visa away, they have a nasty habit of swiping it a few times!!!!

where did you stay when you went?im going july with 7 girl friends,staying at les piramides apartments or something like that. i cant wait but its just for partying,im going on a relaxing holiday in june,think im doing them the wrong way round,ha ha

Hi Laura,

We have been to Playa De Las Americas, a few times and also the north of Tenerife which is very beautiful, not really for the young who want night life though.

Yes we did enjoy ourselves thank you, although we go for a relaxing break rather than night life. Love walking in the evening though and watching the youngsters enjoying themselves.

We never used our credit card thankfully, but heard a few horror stories while we were there. Also watch out for pick pockets..usually local boys!

going in july but going to egypt in june,being abit greedy this year.....cant wait for either though...but they will be so different from each other!ha ha...dunno what iv got myself in for booking with the girls!:hathat10:

Oh laura you'll have a lovely time in Egypt, and certainly a culteral shock having been to Tenerife first...

We are off to Cyprus on June 7th for 3 whole weeks of sunshine...lovely... :wave:
