| Please can anyone give us any information on the hotel: Riu Imperial Marhaba in Port El Kantaoui. We are a couple in our 40`s and are due to arrive in Port El Kantaoui in early September 2006, we have searched many sites throughout the internet and have only been able to find a few sites that give us information and reviews on the hotel itself, maybe you yourself have stayed at the Riu Imperial Marhaba hotel or know someone that has.
Any information would be most helpful.

| We have been there twice & really enjoyed ourselves. It is quiet & relaxing & the staff are friendly & helpful. We stayed half board & found the food was good. It is about a mile or so from the centre (harbour) - a stroll along the beach (40 mins) or you can also get a taxi outside the hotel (for 2 or 3 dinars) or a noddy train goes regularly. The hotel has two main bars with entertainment most evenings - i don't know if you have been to Tunisia before but most entertainment is hotel based. The lounge/bar area is large & airy & great for just sitting & watching the world go by. There is an indoor & outdoor pool, spa & nightclub (though we have never been to it),
We had booked to go htere in 2 weeks time ourslnes but the hotel was recently taken over by Rui hotels & Airtours changed our booking.

| Hi, and thank you for your response to our enquiry.
This will be our first visit to Tunisia and we have searched an awful lot of internet sites for reviews on the Riu Imperial Marhaba in Port El Kantaoui but we have been unable to find many reviews from people that have stayed there recently since the Riu group have taken it over.
