We are due to go on holiday in 28 days to Portugal and staying at the Alto da Colina in Balai and have just been informed that there is building work going on - main structural stage. Has anyone been or know of anyone recently returned and has it affected their holiday.
Would also like to know, that surely First Choice should have known about this prior to 28 days and should they not have offered us alternative accommodation?
I am quite concerned. Thanks

you can generally cancell with a full refund
Amend to another holiday with no admin fee
although u would have to pay any difference in price

Just back from Alto da Colina, no need to worry, didn't notice the building works, never really heard anything and only seen it when walking into town.
Had a great time, am so glad we never changed our accommodation.
Hope you have as good a time.
