| Who's been to Prague then?
Does anyone know anything to do there that isn't strip clubs, brothels, ancient history etc... Any must see or do things I'd love to know about it. Thanks for any help

| Prague is a really beautiful and interesting city, I have just left a review on the euro citys link. We found lots to do and see and we had 2 children in tow, there is a fabulous market in Wenceslass square and a street market along the Charles Bridge every day with lots of street artists and jewellery makers sellng their hand made wares. Shopping is brilliant and prices are sooooo cheap specially for gold and baltic amber jewellery. Prices to eat out are so cheap and a vast choice of where to eat. We stayed for 3 days and really could have sayed longer. We are trying to go back again this year sometime soon and now with most regional airports flying direct it is easily accessible to most of us, Flight is only about 2 hours and the airport in Prague is well layed out and very modern.
Go for it you will really enjoy Prague.

| Jan,
I have to agree with you on Prague except I didn't find gold to be cheap, and all the pottery ,vases etc is very expensive (but very beautiful).

| well, ive had my weekend in prague, there was some lovely sightseeing and trips to see evrything that you should when there.
I must say, i never felt safe at night and felt rather intimidated. There are lots of gangs of black men who pst pst pst at you, they are trying to sell drugs or get men into the huge amount of sex clubs. Also pick pockets walking into you especially on charles bridge was a bit scary.Im glad i went but wouldnt go again, unfortunately,i think this is more a city for men,who were lapping up its delights!!!!

| Hi
we went to prague and i must say we didnt see any of what the last poster mentioned. we stayed new old town square and that was mainly where we went on a night.
we went on a trip to the castle, which included a tradional czech meal
and a boat trip. we went on a ghost tour on the evening ( that was a bit naff) but we also went on a pub crawl where you were took round tradional pubs by a local with other tourists. They is also a lovely park there and a tower ( based on eiffel tower)
we loved it, its beautiful and it was very cheap if you stay out of the tourist places. Mind you i did come back engaged ( which i wasnt expecting) so it holds extra speical memories for us.

| Hi there me and my wife travelled to prague in february 2007 and was amazed how beautiful it is, both by day and night, dont read to much about it being rowdy at night that only applies to wenceless square where it can be a bit intimidating with lots of dodgy folk hanging around, we went into the old town where it was very nice and no signs of any wrongdoers, the place itself is wonderful and a must is the boat trip at night with meal and entertainment really relaxing and great way of seeing prague by night, the best way to explore prague is by yourself with a guidebook , we had great fun walking around the air quality is fabulous and really brings up your appetite, be careful where you go for food and drink the more central to everywher the more the price, we found some lovely places within 10 mins walk away from the centre, all in all its a great place to see and would go there again
