| hi there
i am new to this forum and would like your help,
i have just booked flights for 18 of us for next year to faro (friends and family with children aged 10-16)
we would like some advice on what people would reccomend for us
we like the sound of alvor and praia de luz maybe playa da oura,
we would like some nightlife with a good choice of bars and resturents but not to rowdy,
whats your views on alvor or praia de luz or even playa da oura.
thanks rickie

probably won't help much, have you tried reading some of the reviews?
ALVOR
PRAIA DA LUZ
They might give you some information.:)

davvo, think praia de luz, and alvor are quite quiet resorts, alvor more established, one of the favourite places for golfers.. costa de luz, i think is a long way, from faro, so it will cost you if you have only booked flights.
I would say albuferia, or praia to rocha may suit you better, a little livelier.if im wrong in this information I am sure someone will correct me.
PS, we all try to help each other on this site, but sometimes we are not 100% sure of our advice, but it is only advice, we all want different things from holiday.. im nearly 60 so I would choose costa de luz,( been there done it magaluf, etc etc.,) but as I travel independantly, i know the transfer from airport to to chichlana etc., is expensive, and quite a way.. however, this is an up and coming resort, so you may like to visit, before is becomes like magaluf, benidorm etc.,
