Hello Rebecca,

Welcome to holidaywatchdog and in particular the cruise forum.

Although we were not on the Sea Princess during your cruise, and I fail in being part of your age group, by some 55 years, I glad you enjoyed one of our favourite ships.

For the most part cruises have a lively if somewhat small groups of teenagers, this is growing each year and with the joining of ships like the Ocean Village which is being geared towards the younger section of the market I'm sure the numbers will increase each year. Princess in general does have a fair numbers of teens/early twenties sailing with them, but this does tend to be a bit seasonal with May thru Sept being the best months.

But if you would like to experience a cruise with more of your age group, then try the OV1 or OV2, yes there will still be a few grey hairs about, but these usually like a party as well.

Hi !st Time -Cruiser,

Although there will not be that many teen-agers on, there may be a few.

However all is not lost if as you say your son is sociable, after many years of cruising I can tell you that one thing cruisers do like is chatting with people of all ages. Just tell him to start chatting or saying good morning/afternoon/evening to all he sees, and within a couple of days he will have made many new 'friends'

Over the years we have often met & indeed kept in touch with lots of people much younger than ourselves, and sometimes us old'ens do disco far longer than the young ones.

Its a great ship so go out and enjoy your cruise.
