We are a group of 6adults who have booked there 1st land tour and cruise. When booking the brochure included a 3 hour narated tour of Vancouver prior to boarding the ship. Since that date Princess have cancelled the tour stating there is not enough time. I fuly understand that in the brochure small print they are entitled to do this. I contacted Princess with a view to been compensated for the bus tour as it must have been priced into the cost. To date Princess are been very negative in this stating that no cost would have been incurred. This I doubt very much as you get nothing for nothing from these companies. has any one had a similar problem, or could advise me on how to approach Princess. many thanks

Hi Skydeck,
Welcome to holiday watchdog and in patricular the cruise forum.
The tour of Vancouver might have been included in the cruise price, but like all these things subject to conditions. and thereby is the rub.
You could write to customer services at Southampton (if you are UK based) and the outcome would most likely be an on board credit for your next cruise with Princess. Expect them to take 28 days before giving you a reply, and maybe a confirmation of receiving yours.
The likely OBC is $50 each, which quite honestly you can get anywhere, at least it's something.
Thats about all you can do, as you say it's in the small print.
By the way how was the cruise, we have done a few with Princess and the cruise part has been good, but the general dealings with head office have been poor.

FYI,
Princess along with some other Companies, often include a short local tour before boarding. This is usually due to to many flights booked coming in at the same time. The problem comes when those flight times have been changed by the Airline.
They in truth, are trying to make the boarding of passengers easier, but in this case the time factor has beaten them.
