Flora Apartments - Puerto del Carmen

Hi there,
Can anyone help? going to Flora apts. in Puerto del Carmen in May. Just been told by tour operator that the studios that we have chose are having general decorating and new bathroom work done. Need re assuring that we will still be o.k. Thank you, Dean

Dean, i think it may be the better of two evils. We stayed in the Flora apartments when we flushed the loo it used to make a lot of gurgling noises. on our last day just as we were packing i flushed the loo and the bath filled with sewage!! We complained to the hotel but it was our last day so not sure if anything got done. I spoke to a couple of others while waiting for our transfer coach and they complained of the same thing. on a plus side up till that last day we found the hotel really good

We stayed at the Flora apartments in 2003, and to be honest it was a last minute deal, very cheap but we were quite pleased with the pool and general condition of the apartments. The showers regularly went off each night between 6 and 7:30 pm and there were other people not happy with the plumbing.... BUT!!!!
We had a great holiday...lots of fun at Geordies bar... and The Mucky Duck .... so dont worry about the apartments, you'll be fine,... have a great time!!!!

Thanks for that Suzie !, sorry I have`nt replied straight away, don`t always visit. Me and the wife will cope with most things and as you rightly say there are plenty of better things to fill your time rather than moan about your digs !.

Hi Dean ,well got back yesterday 16/05/05 from the Flora.Ive got 2 girls 8 and 10 they both had a ball,Couple of things though if you can request a room in Flora 2 or at the far side of the pool as the noise from the entertainment can be a bit of a pain though it does finish early enough,about 12 midnight.I have a map of the complex if with the room numbers if you want it let me know.The plumbing seemed ok no major probs and no worries with hot water too.A big bonus too is the courtesy bus which drops you off right at the start of the new town ..have a good one ..Highlander
