| I must let you all know about what we experienced here -
We were in Santa Ponsa in May 2008 - a group of 10 of us - 5 adults and 5 teenagers with moderate Special Needs- someone we know recommended mrs murphys kitchen as a place to eat
when we arrived - the tables were set up to seat 4-6 people at most and we asked if the could accommodate a group of 10 - they really were reluctant to push 2 tables together and they made it clear that we were a nuisance to them and they clearly did not want us there .
eventually - they did seat us - and we ordered our dinner- the teens had fish, chicken dishes and the 5 adults ordered steak -
our teens were extremely well behaved so any reservations they had about accommodating us were unfounded-
the 5 adults were served steak that was inedible and all 5 adults left the steak on their plates- the waiter asked if everything was ok and one lady in the group commented that the steak was very tough and none of the adults could eat it- (one man in the group left a full steak on his plate)
they cleared away our plates and at this point we were so disappointed with our evening that we decided we would treat the teens to icecream else where so we asked for the bill -
the bill arrived and we were charged for the 5 uneaten meals- one of the ladies in the group questioned this and the waiter refused to back down about charging for the steaks - so she asked to see the manager (all the staff were spanish) the manager eventually came to speak to her and still insisted that the meals were to be paid for - the staff were extremely rude to my friend and i really dont know how she held her composure- - he kept examining the 5 plates of uneaten food - and eventually he said he would charge us for 2 steaks- we were not happy with this but we decided to pay for the food as obviously they were not going to admit the food was substandard.
we really felt we were treated like 2nd class citizens and we were obviously unwelcome from the moment 3we arrived.
luckily - we didnt experience any rudeness like this anywhere else- we had lovely meals in Jackies, Crocodillos and Amigos-
but avoid mrs murphys kitchen at all cost
