| i am planning to go to santa ponsa in september, maybe staying in the sun beach apartments. i've found both good and bad reviews of this hotel and would like some advice. it is me and my boyfriend going, we are 19 and 20 and i'm wondering does anyone think it would be suitable for our type of holiday? we like going out but wouldn't be going out all night every night. basically is it doomed to be a bad place to stay or is it what you make of it?

| I'll be honest wit ya, its a nice place to stay, if you are looking for a base for a lively holiday, but for what you are looking for you may be better off booking into the Verdemar apartments, they are just up the street from the Sun Beach, they are lovely, I've stayed there loadsa times, (stayin there for 2 weeks in July this year too!) They are close enough if you wanna go clubbing everynight but far enough away if you want some relaxing time too... its literally two mins walk down to all the bars and clubs.

| I agree, stay in the verdamar, sun beach also known as scum beach, im 22 and stayed ther once with my two friends the people below us over us and either side of us got kicked out. then we were MADE sign a contract and i mean MADE that if any more bad reports came from our side of the complex we would be kicked out too (and this ment livin on streets lileraly) and if we didn't sign it they were going to call the polica and i dont know if you've heard of the police over there but try to avoide them at all costs. we're not boring we were there to have a good time but we def din't deserve that treatment .i'm going to santa ponsa again with my boyfriend this year but def not stayin in scum beach.. going to stay in a hotel. Santa ponsa is a great place for ye to go but don't stay there! its full to the brim of low lifes including the staff!!!!!!!

| hi irishgirl, I live the whole year in Santa Ponsa in the Verdemar and it is the better place to stay, but not in July and August, here it is completely full and very loud the whole night. But from September on most of the families with little children are gone and the pool is also free again. The Appartements are all very basic, I think, no one has air condition, but in Spetember its ok. Half of the Verdemar is owned from Hoteles Globales, you can book via Bugdet travel, the rest is private property. Most of the private also rent, of course cheaper than the hotel, but you have to take care yourself about flight. I know some private owners and if you are interested, I can give you the contact details.

| Personally i think if you arn't into mad nights out all night every night then I wouldn't stay here... a better place for the 2 of you would probably be the verdemar. Its just a bit up the street from the Sun Beach. Its close enough to everything that you are within 3 mins walk of all the bars and clubs and that but you are far enough away that you won't get the noise from them. A studio apartment in the verdemar would be along the same price lines as the 1 bed in the Sun beach. Ask for a sea view if you are booking the verdemar.... its a must in these apartments.
