Postby mandksmum on Wed Aug 15, 2007 12:25 pm

Hi off to the holiday village at end of September (2 Adults 2 kids) and I am unsure what/how much currency I should be taking. We are planning on doing a couple of trips and going to a market. My parents have been Turkey a few times and have advised us to only take Sterling, just wondering everones elses views on this?

i have been to turkey 27times it will be my 28th time in oct i would recommend you take half and half
if its your first time in turkey be careful as they tend to try and rip you off make sure you do a lot of haggling and whatever you do dont buy the perfumes and aftershaves you will see people selling as they are half water half perfume also if you smoke dont buy what they say are real english cigerettes like b&h as these are also fake if you smoke then buy them oat the airport!!!
