Hello,
As I understand it, Schools in Scotland close two weeks before those in England, and go back two weeks sooner. As a result, seven night holidays commencing Saturday 23rd August are a lot cheaper than the previous weeks in Scotland.
We've booked Parkdean Nairn Lochloy for about 120 cheaper, simply by going on Sat 23rd, rather than Sat 16th.

Yes thats correct , I have relatives in scotland and when i was younger we used to visit for the 5/6 week hols and they all went back to school when i still had around two weeks left.
You can also use this to another advantage by using Scottish airports at this time too , one year we drove down to Gatwick from manchester and saved a small fortune because their hols were also slightly different
in may/june one year.

you're so right. in addition the low prices, all the tourist attractions are much quieter, as are the beaches - can't recommend it enough.
