Hi guys - wonderful forum well done...

I am arriving at Glasgow International Airport by early June. 1st time in Scotland for a 9 nights holiday with my wife. I dont want to stay in central Glasgow maybe I can visit somewhere other than Glasgow but I am stuck with Glasgow Airport return ticket and I dont want to waste much time in trains / buses etc....

I am looking for a romantic + full of activities sort of holiday !

I would appreciate some thoughts / some holiday Ideas. Bearing in mind that I dont want a convenient routs between hotel / Airport.... Lots of baggage :(

Anticipating your kind advises

Thanks.

Hi Unique73,

A warm welcome to holiday watchdog, hope you enjoy brousing the forums.

While I mainly deal in cruises I am sure some of our members will be in later tonight and hopefully answer some of your questions.

Think we have a couple of members who live in Glasgow so you should be ok.

Welcome to HW unique73

Thanks for the nice comments.

About 30 minutes north of Glasgow airport is an area called Loch Lomond. It is very beautiful with plenty to go.

Take a look at their website at

Depending on what you mean by lots to do the Ayrshire coast is lovely and not far from Glasgow. You can follow the life of Robert Burns, famous poet. There are many seaside towns to see and plenty of pretty villages along the way.

Be prepared to eat well and sleep well!

Its my favourite part of the UK.

Hi and thanks for the prompt and valuable responses.

Any suggestions on the accommodation. See the point is if I can get the whole trip planned in terms of clear guidance as to airport pickup to / from the airport to hotel. Things to do say daily plans more importantly, we want to stay in one hotel and go all over the place and return back at night 

Like if there is a travel agent who can arrange the whole things for me or someone who went on a similar holiday.. that will be a good help.

Would appreciate the feedback.

Thanks again.
