It is ideal for families and beginners. Not qiute enough challenge for advanced skiers apart from one black run that is very black indeed ("Duboka"). Best time: second half of february and first half of march.
Skied there around 20 times so far, love it...

we were in serbia last year, kopoanik, good tip only one hotel worth staying in and its the grand, fantastic hotel amazing in such a small resort we werent lucky with the snow last year but its looking good this year. there are some lovely runs the best is right over the other side of the mountain i cant remember the number of it but it was superb. it a very small town and you are very limited what to do at night. you either go out at about 11pm or you stay in before 11pm the town is empty but if your taking kids nightime is not such an issue. if yougo to the grand its the nearest hotel to the slopes, outside the back door and there is loads for the kids to do in the hotel, it is an impressive hotel and caters for all ages. hope this helps and have a good one

We have just come back from Kopaonic and it was a fantastic holiday. The kids are 8, 6, and 4 and the slopes for them were perfect. We stayed at konaci appartments as its the only place that will take a family of five. Its very cheap and basic but who cares as its the skiing we went for! People were extremely nice, great ski schools for kids and all instructors seemed to be really into their jobs! They had my 2 skiing brilliantly in 2 days (The 4 year old was too young) Also eating out was cheap and supermarkets were well stocked with fresh fruit and veg, as well as all other things! GREAT HOLINDAY ALL AROUND WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!! All the best with the holiday search!
