Hi, We have booked for 2 weeks over Xmas to stay at the Concorde el Salam in Sharm. I have read the reviews and it seems like it will be fine, but any hints on trips available from that area would be appreciated. Also can someone tell me what to expect weather wise - I understand it can be cool at night, but hope it is sunbathing weather during the day!
Many thanks
Gill

If it is windy it can be chilly - find a sheltered spot and you'll be fine. Even at night the air temp should still be 14 - 15 degrees centigrade - it will only feel colder if it is windy.
Trips to make would be St Catherine & Moses Mountain, Coloured Canyon and Dahab, Boat Trip to Ras Mohamed, Cairo possibly and maybe even Petra.
For evening entertainment just take a taxi ( or your hotel's shuttle service ) to Naama Bay as there is nothing of interest within walking distance.

Gill,
I am off the concorde on the 4th of next month. Will give a review when we get back. Sounds and looks good though from what I have heard.
If you have not already seen this, here is a link to the official website with some good pictures.
