| Please can somebody recommend the cheapest/best value way of doing this. I've read things about booking flight, taxis, guides etc seperately but am not keen to do this as we are two women travelling alone. Any suggestions would be gratefully received!

| The cheapest way is as you've read....booking things seperatley. if you don't want to do that your options are booking thru your tour op, thru your hotel or thru one of the numerous local vendors when you get there.
In Dec '07 Thomson were charging £155 per adult by air for the day or £77 by road (6-7hrs each way). Our hotel was asking $280 by air.

| Sorry, no; maybe they have a website with this info? Can't see it being much different from other reps. What many folk don't realise is that even if you're with Thomson or 1st Choice etc, you can still book any trip thru ANY rep! We were thru Thomson in Dec & were talking with Longwood about the Jerusalem trip; we could have booked it thru them but, for several reasons, decided not to do the tripp this time.

| I booked my original Cairo trip through the medholidays rep at my hotel. Whilst it was fantastic to go to Cairo being with a group was just not my thing. Too much time at the shops , herded quickly from one place to another and not enough time looking at the actual sites. I now do private tours...much better and not hard to do at all. By the way I travel with my 9 year old son and feel incredibly safe ;-)
