| I am going to Sharm el Sheikh for 8 days at easter time and have been quoted £135 per person from a tour operator for flights and a full day sight seeing in Cairo.
Is this a good price or should I wait and book when I get there. As it is Easter I'm worried that the flights/tours could be booked up.

My Profile
| As the previous poster put this is a rough standard price for the trip. I did this with medholidays in 2006. Seeing the sites was great but I didn't enjoy being with a group of 10+ people and the fact that we were constantly waiting for us all to meet up again at the sites. We also spent too much time at the shops and not enough time at the actual sites.
I now just book private tours. My one last year cost £90 . This was by booking flights with egyptair (putting egypt as my home country, flight was £35 return) then booking a guide with transport to meet me at Cairo airport. Really easily done and highly recommended. I got to go where I wanted to go and see what I wanted to see. No papyrus and alablaster shops and sorted out my own itinerary.
I highly recommend seeing -
Giza pyramids (of course!)
Sphinx
Solar Boat museum
All the above are in the same area so no major travelling to them
Also....
Mohammed Ali Mosque
Cairo museum + the 2 Mummy rooms (100le extra charge)
Khan El Khalili market (time permitting)
I went to Felfela's(well known in Cairo) for lunch , we had a delicious mix of egyptian food which included dips, bread, rice and chicken. Total cost was £15 for 3 adults and 2 children.

| Hi We went to Egypt last August and used a company CharmofSharm for our excursions. We flew to Ciaro with a tour guide for the day AI. went on a boat trip AI, also went quad biking with a meal for the 3 trips it was £154. They have a web site with a lot of positive feedback I would use this company again. We also paid when we got there as my husband was worried about being ripped off! They came over to our Hotel to discuss all the options.

| Visited cairo in February from Sharm. Booked via the internet using travel library and Egyptian Highlights. They do not need any money until you get there and come to the hotel to collect, as they prefer English pounds. We had a fantastic English speaking guide and a private mini bus ,hot buffet lunch and flights by egypt air.FANTASTICAll for £100. The following week we booked up the road from St Georges hotel at the Go Kart place. not recommended. They said pick up would be 6.30 a/m.They were in the hotel reception at 4.30a/m. being extremely rude, come now or you wont be going to Luxor. The Guide in Luxor was extremely good and very knowledgable. But when we arrived back in Sharm the same crew as in the morning were there with their mini bus but didnt take us back to our hotel until they waited for 2 more flights to come in. On complaining we were met with more rudenes. Should have used Egyptian Highlights for everything rivate mini bus and an enjoyable hot buffet for lunch. The cost £100.

| Thanks for all the advice.
I booked a trip with Real Life Egypt and booked my flights online with Egypt Air paying in Egyptian pounds not GB pounds as it was cheaper.
I ended up paying £115 per person.
