| I am finding it impossible to find any review on 5* Grand Sharm el Sheikh Hotel. As far as I know its new this year, has anyone been or heard anything. Going there June 2008

| I am too - we are suppose to be going in January 2008 but cant see that it has finished being built yet and that's probably why you can't find any reviews.

I am also trying to get in touch with my tour operator to see what the position is.

| I'm looking to book this hotel for June 2008, the travel agent panorama, told me that they are not taking any booking for before Feb 2008 because it won't be finished yet. it will be ok in june though.

| I booked for May this year (2007) and was told a week before that it wasnt finished yet, I was offered a like for like alternative, which turned out to be an upgrade so all was not lost.

We were suppose to be going to this hotel in January 2008. After months of waiting to see what is happening, our tour operator has managed to change us to a different hotel. Not sure when this hotel is suppose to be finished being built but doesnt look like its going to be before January 2008.

| I'm going to this hotel in june 08, i've noticed that panorama have stopped taking bookings for this hotel for all of next year. I've tryed to get an answer why but am getting no reply. does anybody know if this hotel will be finished anytime next year?

| WE HAD BOOKED TO GO GRAND SHARM 4/10/07. FOR TWO WEEKS WE WERE INFORMED BY TOUR OPERATERS .THE HOTEL WAS NOT FINISHED.OFFERED HOTEL THE GRAND SHARM LOOKS ALONG WAY OF BIENG FINISHED BEWARE OF LESS STANDARD ACCOM.THAT YOU ARE OFFERED.

| We have been sent a new invoice from Going Place to inform us they have been taken over by Thomas Cook and our hotel has been changed to the Creative Grand Sharm. At first they said this was a mistake and a new invoice would be sent, they have now come back and told us that the hotel has been changed to the Creative Grand and they have no explanation at this time as to why. We have told them we will NOT be staying at this hotel and they will have to sort things out, still waiting for them to get back to us. our travel date is June08. Check all new invoices.

| This has happened exactly to me, I have tryed to phone panorama and thomas cook but can't get through, I've emailed a couple of times but they haven't replied to anything. Keep me posted to how you get on with them.

| I'm also finding it very difficult to find any reviews on Grand Sharm. We are due to stay there for 1 week from the 17th Feb and I'm starting to get worried.
Direct holidays have written to me to advise the flight details have changed and we will now be traveling with Thomas Cook.
I can't seem to find anyone who has actually been to this hotel yet !!!

| We wer booked to go next week (Jan 3rd) but after getting a bit concerned and making some enquiries were informed that it would not be ready. Offered alternative accomodation by Panorama holidays which was supposedley 5* but had terrible reviews on TA. We could have swapped to a 4* in their brochure but would have had to pay consideranle more money for downgrading! Found an alternative one ourselves (On the beach) which actually worked out cheaper and had good reviews. So beware of alternative accomodation offered. Good luck!

| Hello Alymic, Im glad you found alternative accomodation, do you mind me asking what hotel you will be staying. I think I will have to keep a close eye on this situation and any good hotel info would be a great help.

| I have been in touch with Thomas Cook and they are unable to tell me anything at all.
They are not able to give me a date that the hotel is going to be open.
I'm getting quite concerned as it is only 6 weeks until we fly.

| I am due to go to this hotel in April this year and am having exactly the same problems as you guys. I went in to my travel agent yesterday to pay the rest of the balance, but the invoice said the holiday was for Creative Grand Sharm, not Grand Hotel Sharm which is what we originally booked. The travel agent rang Panorama who said they know of no problems or cancellations, and that the invoice for Creative Grand Sharm was just a mistake. I didn't pay up as I'm waiting for invoice stating the right hotel. I'm really panicking as the holiday has to be paid off soon, but I'm reluctant to pay as I don't even know if it's built!!! Can anyone that gets new info please let me know? Thank you

| I have also booked this hotel for September,Thomas cook sent us a replacement invioce with a totally different hotel.Rang up to tell them we would not be going to this hotel(creative grand sharm} as it had some terrible reviews.I would sooner cancel, I am going into shop to try and get some sense from them

| Hi we are booked to travel to the same hotel in June 2008. According to tripadivsor forum page the hotel is not even built yet. We have been trying to get things sorted out with our travel agents as we now have noticed they have chanced the name on new receipt to creative grand sharm, which is a different hotel completely. Dont believe everything they tell you cause they are insisting to us it is the same hotel and we know it is different. The grand sharm is owned be red sea hotels and not creative. Hope this helps

| I replied to your question yesterday about the Grand Sharm Hotel, which is a Red Sea Hotel. Since replying we contacted our travel agent who tried to inform us everything was ok, but while speaking realised that they had sent out a 2nd invoice to the travel agent and had changed the hotel to c/ative Grand Sharm,(without informing us) which is a completly different hotel and of a lower standard, really bad reports on the net about it. We have advised them to sort it by tomorrow,and if needed we will contact someone legally to see if they can do this. Hope this is of help

That's a great help thanks- the exact same thing has happened to us. We're going in tomorrow to talk to the travel agent and I'm going to ask for a full refund of the deposit and then book another hotel I think- this all seems too suspect and we're meant to be going in April!
I'll keep you posted if I here anything
