Hiya
My daughter wore Sketchers (light weight ones with straps) and her friend wore Crocs to do the zip wire. I would say that you would be ok with swimming shoes.
Holiday Village Red
Can anyone tell me whether there was a problem getting their kids booked into the kids clubs? I've read somewhere that they get busy, and some kids were turned away as they were full. Imagine this would be a problem in the school holidays.

Hi all,
Just back last night and had a great time. The negative reviews are totally unfounded.
Alot of the problems is with the holiday makers themselves. We took acidophilus before and during, my hubby and I had a dodgy tum one day and my youngest had a little cramp that lastest one night but my eldest was fine!! We noticed children in the buffet dropping their rolls and picking them off the floor and eating them, fingers in their mouths after touching areas, we tried to be careful and it paid of.
The staff are fantastic, I hurt my back and they could not do enough to help, they transferred me to the pool, restaurants etc in a buggy to save me walking. The doc and his nurses were great.
I'll add a full review later but happy to answer any questions

I saw more english people who went to the toilet didnt wash their hands and handled the food and put it back. I was ill when got back but fine now, it was so hot there, I do not put it down to the food. I think you are either lucky or not. I would not tell anyone to avoid the place. I have booked to go again next year so couldnt have been that bad and loads of people were booking again. There were a few people there who were moaning but i think they would moan about a 6 star hotel. Too many people are after compensation. Well you wont get any compensation as too many people are saying they had a great time. I spoke to loads of people from other hotels that went on our trip and they all had bad stomachs.

I would agree, I think people were complaining hoping for compensation on their return. We also spoke to others on trips and at the airport on the way home and dodgy tums were common in every hotel, not just HV.
It is extremeley hot and change of water, food etc can all contribute.
We haven't booked to go back next year but if the price was right I would jimp at the chance!

I'm going mid September and looking forward to it.
A really sad question to ask but does anyone know if the hotel has WiFi or if there is anywhere local with a WiFi connection?
