| I am looking to book a holiday in Sharm for Oct this year, (never been before) and am gettting a little confused with all the reviews for the hotels! Some brochures say hotels are excellent and then when you look at the reviews online they are awful. I am travelling with my husband and 8 year old and all we want is excellent food and a few waterslides to keep my son (and husband) happy. Any ideas, please?

| I admit it can be confusing but look at the reviews from what you want out of a holiday - some complain about the walk to the bar being too far!!
Any hotel can have a good or bad review depending on what the person was expecting, in my experience (went to Sharm last year and returning next month) the hotels are very clean and the staff very helpful and kind to children, the food in most all inclusive places tends to bore people after a week as they do repeat the same sorts of food but it is plentyful and certainly at our hotel you had several choices of where to eat rather than just one place
There is a water park in Sharm - Cleo Park, I think the Holiday Village has slides etc but the hotel we are returning to is the Coral Sea which has several pools and a private beach and jetty although no slides.
For info we have an 8 year old son who is happy returning there as lots of activities for kids plus hotel run kids clubs including swimming and football etc
Hope you have a wonderful holiday

| There is a fairly new aquapark in Old Sharm; some prefer it to Cleopark.
There is seascope; a special sort of boat where the whole of the undersea deck is underwater, so you can see thru all the walls to the marine life.
Concorde El Salam has an ice rink & stables; horses there are meant to be in decent shape.
There is a bowling alley; opens at 7pm, on Abdullah St.
Stand with your back to Hard Rock Cafe, look right, see the fork in the road & take the left one. It's up there, on the right.
By doing this journey, you will pass alarge supermarket. It's fixed price downstairs, notupstairs, but it's not so much hassle as in Na'ama itself. THey sell (over the 2 floors) much of what one may find around Na'ama in one spot & it may be less stressful than trekking round the other shops.
There are 3 fixed price Aladdin's Cave shops too, all on the same street as the Cmale Bar in Na'ama Bay.
Ghibli raceway, between Na'ama & the airport has a junior kartingtrack. Check the website.
