Can anyone recommend a good Quad Bike Safari company in Sharm as we are going in May 2008. Any tips would be appreciated as I have a 12 year old and 6 year who I would like to bring along as we are a family of four.

Thanks

We stayed at Coral Sea last year but First Choice will not do quad bikes for under 16's which we did not know in advance - as we did not want to risk going to beach boys with our 7 year old we missed out!

This year we are returning and having done some research will be booking a trip with Longwood for a double dune buggy as will take passengers from 6 years old and can also do proper quad bikes for adults

Hope this is of some help

Plz ensure you have adequate ins for sporty activities, like with insuremore.co.uk

You definately need to ask the right questions - we shopped around last year as some only covered 50cc which is totally inadequate and most would not cover at all - eventually got cover and then could not go quad biking as son too young!!

This year our bank account insurance covers quad biking so no need to take extra cover but have checked the small print to be on the safe side

You won't be able to to book thru Thomson, Thomas Cook etc but the hotel or local vendors will onlige; unsure about Longwoods. They have a website if you google them & an office on the main rd thru Na'ama, next to the Jolie Ville Resort & Casino, upstairs in shopping mall 8.
Plz ensure you have adequate ins cover for risky sports. Think insuremore.co.uk (or similar sp?) do it.

hi,
me n my husband went quad biking in sharm last year. We booked our trip through one of the kiosks on the beach. the trip was very well organised and great value for money. There were teenagers driving the quads although the tour guides made it quite clear that any rule breaking the offenders would travel in the pick up. You can also share a quad with your teenager. I dont think there was an age limit on this. I hope this was of some help to you.
enjoy your holiday

My daughter rode a automatic quad at the age of 14. She was never asked her age or her ability to be able to ride one!!

Take a look at our photos.

hi, when we went last there was a boy probably about 10 or 11, so it shouln't be a poblem, however you will have to book with locals or your hotel, just ask about age when your there, they will tell you....quad biking is great, we cant wait to go again soon x
