Rehana Sharm Resort
Hi. My friend and I are off to Rehana Sharm Resort at the end of February 08. We've seen mixed reviews, but all in all we're not overly concerned and really looking forward to it. So, aside from taking Immodium and Jungle spray, making sure we don't get ripped off and not wearing thong bikinis (kidding!!), does anyone have any tips for a couple of 30-something guys?

Hi, Can anyone give some sound advice for staying in the Rehana Sharm? I've read many mixed reviews and have been told by my husband to stay away from the computer!! We are going in April and I would love if it some one who has stayed there can give me some practical advice, for example which number rooms have the best view/ what time is best to go to the restaurant to avoid the masses, what's the entertainment like and the best pools etc etc

Think everyones given up on this hotel for a while it seems???
I've been watching as I've booked it but not till July. It's not looking to good so far-very mixed reviews as you said.
I hope that we can use the sister hotel next door still as my little one is looking forwards to the mini slides-Some say there joining together then others say it been taken over and your no long aloud to use the pools there...?
There has been some usefull things on this link in the past.
Let me know what you find out.

I know what you mean - It's only 4 weeks till we go and I keep logging on hoping to see some recent information but none as yet!
I know you can't believe everything you read and you have to make up your own mind about a place - but it would put my mind at rest if I read a few good up to date reviews.
When we return at the end of April I'll post my thoughts and views - fingers crossed it will be a glowing report!

I changed to Three Corners St George as I was very worried, reviews are much better and as it is my 1st visit to Egypt I was not prepared to take the risk.
Change hotels if you can, it's not worth the gamble.

i've just returned from this hotel and could not fault it. As soon as the staff find out you are english they cannot do enough for you, tip the guy who does your room and you will have all sorts in towel sculptures, he even bought my little boy a colouring book! say please and thankyou and you will have friends for life, we jumped the queue everytime, my husband just waved at the bar man and he served us straight away. The staff will tell you that the russians are ignorant and yes they are, but play them at there own game and tell them!
Grounds of the hotel are lovely, always being maintained, reception area really nice, bars good but not much seating at the pool bar. drinks are served in plastic cups around the bar which should be expected, they are disposable and are thrown away not reused. Food in the restaurant is ok, i managed to get something to eat every evening and my little boy enjoyed all the desserts on offer. Burgers, hotdogs, chips and jacket potatoes served til 4pm at snack bar and after that crepes.
Swimming polls are great, more pools with larger slides at the prima life, lost count of how many times they cleaned and changed the filters in one day, they are lways doing something, wouldn't even let us carry our towel to the sunbed (hotel provides towels for around the pool).
We used the hotel bus to take us to Naama bay one evening and got a taxi back, all i will say about the taxi ride is that it beats the white knuckle rides at Alton Towers!! All in all agreat holiday, this hotel is very good, i was really worried after reading some of the reviews, but dont worry, we had agreat time and would go back.
