Can anyone give me advice on booking transfers to my hotel as my holiday package doesn't include then and i would rather have then sorted before i go so i don't have to worry about it when i get there? Thanks!

http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/53487/1e93d1/7/ will tell you the gvt stated taxi prices around Sharm (you must haggle hard!)
Here are alternative suggestions for an airport transfer:
http://www.transfers.net
www.hoteltransfer.com
resorthoppa.com
&, I believe medhotels.com & a2btransfers.com are reasonable too,
or you can contact your hotel & ask them how much they will charge to arrange one.

Hi, does anybody know if we need a visa to do the desert quad biking? only there 4 days so wont get chance for any major excursions. Got 2 boys aged 11 and 15 if anybody could recomend anything else that might interest them bearing in mind only 4 days.

You will need a visa if you do the day trip on the quads that goes thru Ras Mohammed park, but not for the eve one.
Your lads may be interested in the karying &/or seascope trips, see above part of the thread that explains about both.
There is a bowling alley in Na'ama Bay too; opens at 7pm.

Hi great tips Sekhemet many thanks. We will be visiting Sol y Mar Sharming Inn for 10 days all inclusive starting this Sunday and was told when booking it was on the beach and was a very good hotel, but reading the forum contributers it appears it is on a cliff top is this correct and is the hotel O.K. as it does appear very cheap. My other query is the U.K. mobile phone sim o.k. we would only be using them in dire emergency and are there any internet cafes. Thanks -- Topcat

Thank you your advice is brilliant. I have an plug adapter that I used in the Canary Islands, is this the one I need? I am going to the Reef Oasis Beach Hotel 5th May, less than two weeks!! Cant wait, I get married on the 3rd May then off on the 5th for our honeymoon.
Also should I change up my money over there?

The plug adapter is the Eurpoean, twin round pin thingy, like the one for the Canaries.
We take a little local currency to tide us over & change the rest over there as the rate is better.
