Christmas is not very widely celebrated in Egypt though you will see Christmas displays in the big Cairo supemarkets and of course the large hotels.
Generally people are very friendly and kind but you'll sometimes need to show a little patience.
Weather wise it will be sunny and although it may get a bit chilly at night, in the day time if you find a sheltered spot you easily be able to stretch out and enjoy the sun.
I don't know this particular hotel but usually the Tropicana Hotels offer a good resort hotel atmosphere with food and service to match. Nothing special but pleasant and enjoyable.

Hi, we shall be in Sharm the beginning of November, just wondered what the temperature in the daytime will be? Also, we have been advised to cover arms and legs in the evening, to protect us from mosquito bites is that correct?

4 of us (kids 12 & 15) staying AI at Tropicana from 16/12 to 30/12. Not getting good feedback about food and entertainment. Have you been there?
Also what IS the beach like?

Jeff...
Did you check out the reviews page ? Have a look - there are quite a few reports good and bad.
Mother...
Its been pretty warm recently here in Egypt - expect sunny skies and warm days followed by pleasant evenings. You may get a few moqsuitos in some parts of Sharm in the evenings if there is no wind ( more like in the Naama Bay and Moya Bay areas ) but not too many.
