| Hi going to the lagoon apt in aug2009[sidari] can anybody tell if they are good bad or just ok and if any good for kids.and just any info about them.Thanks

| hi tigerfeet the lagoon apartments are very good well maintained clean nice size pool and good for kids when you go ask for alex good english speeking greek nice ploke menchen my name doug and he will look aftre you all you right on the edge of town good luck

| Hi tigerfeet we use to do the canaries then started on Greece a few years ago, we havent done many as we went to Rhodes then have been to Halkidiki three times in a row as it lovely.
Greeks are very welcoming and friendly and they love kids too.
I havent been to Corfu yet but when i do i fancy the likes or Kassiopi and Acharavi. As we are not really drinkers and like to go as greek as possible.
I think the smell you was referring to in your other post was probably the occaisonal sewer type smell I have read about in sidari on many other folks posts , I dont think it is there all the time though.
It cant be that bad though as like anywhere else there is return visitors every year.
You can also read other reviews of you hotel on tripadvisor and holiday truths.

| Yes that might be right.We allways go to majorca or mainland spain.So as we have not been hear befor maybe a bit scared as i am single parent.

Well we stayed there last year 31 aug for two weeks and the year before we stayed up the road at Sidari village, and thats how we found the lagoon, had to walk past every night, its brillient.
when we arrived last year, they all remembered us, as we spent most nights afte about 11.30pm in the lagoon, fantastic place.
People will do anything for you, the staff are great, alex the barman is great, denis the waiter and maria (who has left I have just been told, she was there for years, beautiful lovely girl) and paul the entertainment guy (from derby) he was there for 12 years and I was told today that he has left as well, I have looked on a few forums, 2 write ups from couples who went last week and they mention a new entertainment guy and a new waitress called Stella.
I will be disappoined that Paul and Maria are not going to be there, we are going back on 22nd August 2008 for two weeks, we love it so much, its great, the pool is great, slide going into it for the kids, no kids club, but right near everything and I mean right near it all, across the road, beach and loads of bars and clubs, lovely place, best restaurants are 3 little pigs, memories (lovely people in both of these restaurants and the greek fire dancing as well in both), loads of others to mention, all bars very friendly, obviously after about 11.00pm they start to get a bit rowdy, but we always end up back and lagoon pub and they have entertainment every night, from kareoke, quiz's, killer pool, bingo (good as well, snow ball of 700 euro's etc, good if you win, and my mom did the year before). Paul done an excellent job there, but I am sure his replacement will be fine.
I cannot fault the lagoon, spiros the owner is nice and jess who greets and meets you (lovely welsh lady) all very very friendly, lovely people stay there, you will find a lot have been going for years and years, we met the same couples and families last year, brillient place, my 6 year old loves it, although he will miss maria he said, he loved her, but cannot wait to go back in August.
Hope this helps, trust me you will love it, apartments are basic, but very nice and away from the noise of the road etc, sorry to go on, but it is lovely there. If you going around 22nd august, we might see you there.

| Your welcome, are you going in 2009?
Day trips to corfu town, great shopping, theres loads of day trips, boats, glass bottom boats, there is the place where you can watch the sunset go down, did not go last year, but this year I am as it looks fantastic, bar and restaurant there and you can take the most amazing pictures of the sun going down, and its not far from the lagoon, only a cheap taxi ride away apparently, theres plenty of places to book trips etc.
The kids will love it, beach is gorgeous and the greek people are lovely and friendly and there are loads of english, irish, welsh and scottish working there, mixture of everyone really, all good fun in sidari, you will all love it I am sure.
