| Hi all, i have some questions and her is a quick rundown of whats happening - so excited, lol
My mother has just paid for the above resort for last 2 weeks in MAY in 2009 for herself and us a family of 5 with kids aged 17(boy),13(boy),11(girl) on recommendation by myself as i went to Hemera just down the road with my family and loved it to pieces with the high quality of service and luxury and greenery within the hotel grounds for chilling out, ect,ect about 7 hours ago. She wanted to go to Greece as thats all she does but the All inclusive holidays there looked nothing compared to what i have experienced at Turkey so manged to twist her arm and holiday is now paid and booked!
My questions are
1) i know drinking age is fine for a my 17yr old in Turkey but does Alba Resort have an 18yr policy at the bars?, will he get served or require ID or just a no go situation?
2)the Nightclub is that age restricted?, as possible my elder son would like that
3)Is Alba resort zoo just for our complex and not the two newer hotels next door?
4)Does the two newer complexs hinder Alba resort in anyway such as views, noise, ect, ect?
5) any Bad rooms to watch out for?, i.e - are there any rooms with bad views like overlooking car parks or anything. We have asked for ajacent twin rooms, pref ground floor but if we cannot get we did say any level. Just Curious how apartments are laid out for views ect,ect
6)smokng policy? - just resurants?, what about bars and surrounding area's
7)Air con?, is there any in hotel rooms or isn't it turned on till end of July
8)Indoor Pool, is there a set month when they turn off the heating or is it heated all year round,? Hemera did when i went during last week in March and 1st week in April
9)Will outside pool be warm enough for the kids when i go?, i understand sea temp here right now at end of July in England is 15C whilst in Turkey at end of MAY is 20C but was just wondering.
10)Entertainment - bit concerned about the vids i seen that alot seems to be non english especially kids club mini disco for my 11yr old. Anyone care to go into more details on this. Also is this outdoors at this time of year when we go next year.
11)Hemera vs Alba Resort anyone been to both and want to give a comparison? - did i make the right choice, lol?, or not
Anyways thats all i can think off atm, hope i get a few answers, and anyone going to Side/Antalya this year will have a smashing time - shame i have to wait so long, lol

| Hi there, I viited Alba resort June 08, it was my 3rd time to Turkey - and has been my best holiday I have ever been on. I'll try my best to answer all your questions - but if you'd like more info pls ask. I'm 18, and went with a group of friends.
1) 18+ get blue adult bands at check in... however alot of under 18's either told checkin they were 18 and wern't questioned about it... or required blue bands fromother guests that were leaving. They are not strict on drinking so it should not be a problem.
It's 24hr drinking, with a large variety of cocktails avaliable :)
2)The night club is not age restricted, however there were not many children in there - if so they were accompanied by adults. Be careful of the dancefloor as it's often quite slippery. The nightclub is really nice good music - however some night not many people were in there.
3)II am pretty sure the zoo is just for Alba Resort - as security is tight to stop no guests from entering. I only went to see the pelican and flamingoes so don't know much about that.
4) Not at all. Alba has loveley views and scenery.
5) Not that I know of. One side of the hotel is the ocean and the other side there are mountains.
6) You can't smoke in restaurants as it's not fair to non-smokers, there are loads of smoking areas outside and you cannot smoke in the nightclub - but there is a smoking area directly outside the door.
7) The air con was on when we went in June - and it's pretty good too.
8) The indoor pool was not heated, it was fairly cold as it's mostly used by people after sauna.
9) Yes. The pool is not cold, it's heated but is cooler than temp outside so it's loveley and refreshing when you get too hot.
10) Entertainment is brilliant. The animation team are AMAZING. Most of them speak really good english - and all shows are translated for all guests - no roblem understanding. The animation team seem to prefer the english to be honest.
11) Never been to Hemera - but you made a fantastic choice with Alba. I'm sure your sons will love it as well if they are around our age. I can now see why people return every year - and I will be returning myself next June.
If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask.

| Hi Naibey,
Thanks for all of the info.
Is there a part of the hotel you would reccomend over the others?
Do the Albas share any facilities. (The kids love water slides so I wondered about the ones in the Queen)
Does the night club have an age limit? I think my 14 & 15 year olds might fancy it now and then!!
Any tips from your stay we go next week.
Cheers

| We were at the Alba Royal in July and as far as I know you cannot use the other hotels' facilities. We had a tour round the Queen but that was with the Guest Relations Manager otherwise I don't think we would have been allowed to enter.

| thankyou naibey for your indepth reply, we are all really looking forward to next year, we are all going next year for last two weeks in May (2nd week is the kids half term). You made my 17yr old happy in the knowledge that he can get a larger or two just by borrowing a wristband, he had to pay adult price so don't see why he shouldn't be allowed to have the few odd drinks.
do you know how deep the main pool is?, is it all the same depth, becasue we are thinking of floatation jacket for our 10yr old maybe., as she's not very good at swimming.
Is it true we don't need towls,
and lastly how was the sunbed situation with the Germans, lol

| No problem :)
The pool is the same depth all the way through, which is about 150cm, so I would consider taking armbands or something.
You don't need to take any towels whatsoever. I wish I knew this so I could travel a bit lighter - or pack more clothes! Bathroom towels are replaced everyday and each person is given a towel card which can be exchanged each day for beachtowels free of charge. :)
Okay, the german situation is not so good if you are a late rise like myself. I found you had to get down at about 8am to reserve beds. I never got up before 10 and usually was able to get about 2 sunbeds for our party of 4 - but we spent all day in the pool anyways so it was fine. :)
