| We're booked to go to the Alba Resort which is in Colakli near Side. We're going in June, Thomas Cook have advised us that they "believe" there is building work ongoing but they are unsure as to the exact location. They have advised the work is ongoing in/& around the Alba Resort, Alba Royal & Alba Queen. Has anyone else has a similar notification?

| We are also booked to go to this hotel in august. After reading reviews I am concerned that it will not be finished in May. We have not been advised that there is building work going on around the resort other than the hotel. After a disasterous holiday last year with builders etc I am very worried about this. I intend to contact Thomas cook and ask them about this. I dont think they will be very happy as I have already changed holiday once (at a cost).

| I am due to stay at the Alba Resort in June and have received a letter from Thomas Cook about the building works.
My local Thomas Cook branch were able to tell me that the constuction firm are contracturally bound to complete the main building work by 30 April.
My branch have advised me that they will make further enquiries for me on 2 May to obtain an update on the situation.

| Were booked to go in July, Im not too concerned los oks like it isnt far from being finished. We havent recieved a notice from Thomas Cook though.
www.holidaycheck.com has a few pics taken of the hotel in April, doesnt look finished but doesnt look like its too far off being completed.

| forgot to metion you can phone the alba resort hotel on 0090 242 763 80 80, if you speak german its a bonus because they only speak pigeon english , i have rang 4 times now but cant get much sense from them , unfortunately i cant ask my german mate to call again as he has changed working pattern to me, and i wont get to see him often.so ideally if you speak german ring the above number and ask the hotel if there is any ongoing building work within the resort or indeed next to the resort , if so when it finishes. and then post the outcome of the call on here ,hopefully it will be good news for all.

| We are booked to go to Alba Royal in July (begining). I hope it will be O.K. I´m glad to hear that it is mainly german resort...my friends had really bad experience with Russians in hotel in Turkey last year. The official site of Alba resort said thet they apologize to all guests but the planned opening of alba royal now take place in summer season 2008. When does it start? Thank for info.

My Profile
| We are booked to go to the Alba Royal Resort on July 6th for 2wks. I was just checking the hotel on here and was well disappointed to read that there will be building works going on - this was not mentioned at any time at the time of our booking - and i am annoyed. We had to change a previously booked hols to this one as another company has changed our departure airport and times!! I really dont want to go down the route of looking for another hols all over again!!!!
We have heard nothing from Thomas Cook about this at all - which is worrying - I am waiting to hear back from them.
Can anyone update me with anymore info at all please. Thanks

| My local Thomas Cook have just advised me that the building work referred to is for a third hotel called Alba Queen next to the Alba Royal. The main building work has all but finished and the building site is being cleared up. The disturbance level is classed as 'moderate' until the clearing up is finished but they didn't say how long this would last.
I got the feeling it will probably be ok and don't plan to change my holiday in mid June but make your own minds up!

| Got back from Side (Hemera) on 30/04/08. Whilst there I travelled to the Alba Resort to check on the building work. The building work on the Alba Queen/Royal is almost complete; the builders were adding the finishing touches. The on site Thomas Cook rep at the Alba confirmed that all building work in Colakli MUST stop on 01 June.
