| Hi Dennis, I think I'm right in saying that there has been extensive work carried out on the Hemera which was due to be completed last month and that 3 lifts have now been installed.

| Just checked information as follows:
3 lifts added.
Laminated parquette floors in all rooms.
Shower instead of bath.
New tables and chairs on balconies.
Lobby bar extended and redesigned.
Extra swimming pool added.
Old pool refurbished and water slide added.
Wellness & spa facilities.
Patisserie.
Extra la carte' restaurant.
Reviews on hotel are consistently good. Already have two holidays booked for Turkey this year, but hoping to try the Hemera in 2008
Have a GREAT time.
Kindest regards,
Chrissie

| Hello Dennis, have just read on another holiday forum that Thomas Cook has notified their client that building work (new block of flats) is still continuing at the Hemera. So it might be worth checking with your tour operator a.s.a.p.
Kindest regards,
Chrissie

This is the email address dennis if you haven't already got it by now. Are you still going to The Hemera? We go in May 07 but would be very interested to find out whether there is still building work going ahead.
I noted that Chrissy (sorry if that's wrong cannot see the other replies now I'm typing this) stated about new lifts, restaurant etc. Have you been then and did you see these things for yourself or have you had the info from someone else?

| hi Elsie. I e-mailed the hotel last month and they confirmed( as Crissie said) that lifts had been added in the hotel blocks. I forgot to ask if other building work was being done.
I got my date wrong in my earlier thread,we travel on 13th May,not this month .
Regards
Dennis

| Thanks Dennis, have read all the good reviews but wanted know about the little tips of somebody who has stayed there this year, like are the el la carte restuarants if you can eat lunch times without the need for booking and how many evenings per week can you use the restaurants.
The couch bed in the double room does it open up into a larger bed, whats it like in the sea, sandy or rocky, another info you don't see in the reviews. I should made my first post clearer.
Thanks for your Dennis

| Hello again,
There is a customer relations desk in the foyer, this is where you can book your A LA CARTE restaurant, one visit per week,we did not bother booking because the buffet meals and service was so good.
at midday we ate at the beach restaurant which was also excellant with plenty of choice and waiter service.
There is also a partissary open from 10am - 5pm for various ice creams and fancy cakes.tea or coffee.,expect to put on some weight.
A waitress walks around the pool area with a trolley of soft drinks and ice.
Another good point is that there are no plastic glasses in use anywhere.
A LA CARTE is not open at lunch times.
Cannot help with the bunk bed,we had 2 full size beds in our room.
Service at the bars was good,no waiting.
cheers Dennis

I am looking to book this hotel for august this year.
can anyone help with the following:
We have two boys 15 and 13 (when we go. Is there plenty for them to do?
we also have a younger girl who loves Kids clubs! There seems to be a diffence between tour operators, is there a kids club?
great reviews everywhere, any one know the best priced tour operator.
many thanks
