| Hiya Paul
we got back on the 9th from Tunisia, and it is very, very, hot,, make sure you take good factor sun lotion, the sea is lovely and warm, and Please do take a good Mozzy repellant and room plugs with mozzy killer in,, they are nasty and lots of people were bitten. we stayed in Port el Kantaoui but drove through Skanes a couple of times and it looks very nice, I am sure you will enjoy Tunisia.

| got back from skanes on the 20th july. temp average 43. very hot. their is not a lot to do around skanes really, very nice beaches and quiet a lot to do paragliding, jetskis etc. it is cheap to go into sousse by taxi, bus cheaper.their are a few clubs in sousse if that is what you are looking for, free entry but in the past 2 week they have stopped serving alchol after 2am, clubs close at 4am. hope this has been of some use to you. have a good time.

| Just back a few days ago from Tunisia. I stayed in the Houda Hotel. The hotel is ok, and seems that they are always cleaning. Getting your Lunch and dinner at night is like a cattle market. The food is passable but omly just. There are no lifts in the hotel, so if your in the third floor its a few stairs to carry your bags. The pool next to the beech is usually mobbed and you need to be up real early to get a good spot, try 05.30 and you just might be lucky. The pool that has the water slides is nice and you should get a good spot even at 9.00. Thats where we spent most of our time. There is not much to da at night time unless you have kids then there is a show on at the pool where the slides are. At the bar, you are only able to get two drinks at a time, which seems stupid cos all you do is put them at your table and go and get more. Defo get your injections cos the amount of people seeing the doctor was unreal. I went to the docs when i came home and am now on antibiotics.
I dont want to put you off your hols cos if your careful you willl have a great time. Its hot out there so get the cream on. The animation team are real good.
Hope you have a good time

We went and loved it (read my review). The airport was a nightmare but apart from that the hotel was excellent, the staff were friendly and worked really hard. The rooms and public areas were kept spotless and the food was good and plentiful.
The weather was good overall, hot and sunny (30 degrees most days) although the wind picked up a bit towards the end of the week and there was a few spots of rain.
Shame we had to come home really...
Enjoy your stay...

| Thanks for that. Could you let me know was there hairdryers or irons in the rooms? It does mention irons in the brochure which seem a bit weired but nothing on hairdryers.

| Our room didn't have a hair dryer or iron. I think you could get an iron from reception. There was also a laundry service.

| Gong to Houda hotel at the end of May. Do you have to wear formal wear at meal times (i.e., trousers and dresses)?
Is it essential to get injections?

| I have been to Tunisia a few times and it is advisable to take all the precautions that you can with regards to mossies (Deet is essential....ensure that ur spray contains deet and not just lemon juice...not normally available over the counter...you have to search for the real thing! I am ex army and swear by the stuff.......deet is the only way to fly!) take immodium and a few other "stomach remedies".
The place is great, very hot and lots to do.......just take care of your weak european stomachs.......dont let delly belly spoil it for ya!
