| Hi All
I have just purchased an apartment at the above and before I did I read variuous reviews about the place after peole had stayed there.
Just to inform those that are interested, that this complex is no longer owned by any travel agent and now contains a mix of private residential and holiday let apartments.
A great big thank you to the HW for pointing me in the right direction with regards to pointed questions that I needed to ask, a great site and lots of useful information available.
If there is anything that I can do to repay the use of the "invaluable intel" (sorry.....still using Army talk lol ;) )then please let me know, you have done me so many favours.
Also the free holiday let website is amazing......I hope that it provides some useful traffic.
I haven't seen anywhere that suggests a donation tab or anything, but am willing to send over a few euros if there is anywhere that I can do it. I am sure that the administration of this site costs real money and real free time.
Long live Holiday Watchdog!
Thanks again!

| Hi All
Just got back from Los Carmenes for the second time in 6 weeks, having now finished off my apartment.
Just a small change to the post above, there ARE still a few rooms in there that are part of the SOL and trebol set up as not ALL have been sold. So you can still book the apartments for a holiday through the tour companies.
They are just about to spend a fair whack of money on the gardens and the pool area too, but nothing else will be done on the basic rental apartments as they are all being sold.
Monkey Hangers bar is no longer alas.......awwwwwwwwww and will not be opening in the near future........however you can take advantage of the facilities at the Sol and El Trebol close by.
I was there for 2 weeks and saw one cockroach in the entire time I was there....mind you it was rather large ;) I gave it a talking to, it gave itself a body check and sauntered off.
Theres a few cats on the complex now.....not masses just one or two....and they seem to be keeping them at bay!
I have seen some other posts on other sites that suggests that Costa Teguise isn't safe for young girls on holiday? Well, if you go down to certain bars towards the far end of town by the Barcelo then you will get hassle from the Moroccan element and will attract attention......... everywhere else? Nahhhh not at all......its safe as houses just like anywhere else, just make sure that you take the usual precautions and don't forget to be sensible just like you do anywhere else. I saw lots of groups of young girls in a right state............they were ALL looked after by the Brits and plonked infront of their hotel entrances, as some of them had no clue where they were!
Anyway....hasta manyana!!!!!
