Hi,everyone, I'm going to Malta on aug 30th for 2 weeks we will be staying at the Medallion Court apartments. ST. Pauls Bay.,now under the management of the Howard Johnson hotels & suites (self-catering).Has anyone stayed there ?I can,t seem to find any opinions about the place. We booked our holiday with Malta Bargains who first put us in the Palm Court Hotel, but after reading so many bad reviews we asked to be put somewhere else. Can anyone help?

Re: Howard Johnson hotels & suites
I have friends and relatives who live in malta and from what they tell me this is one place to avoid. It is a basic backpackers hostel normally full of young students although it has had a make over its still not 3 star accommodation.
Its a long way from anywhere over a mile to the beach (sorry rocks), if it is too late to change then i surgest that you stay for one night at the Medallion then ask to be moved. The Mediterranian Hotel across the road is part of the same group and a little better and quieter . I use malta bargains for the flights then find my own hotels. The etvan or the Charian Hotels in Marsascala are ok and not to exspensive, or the Sea Breeze Hotel and Reno's Guest House in Pretty Bay Birzebugia might fit the bill.
I hope that this will be of some help and that you have a great holiday the people in malta are the best and make up for what is lacking in other departments.
