Also, what is best way to take money, would you take travellers cheques in Bulgarian currency, Euros or Sterling?

Hi never been to sunny beach i always go to golden sands. We always take good condition english 20and 10 with no marks on them. There is a charge for travelers cheques and you have to show your passport They do take euros as well .The currency is levas you can get some here to take with you but you get a better exchange from the banks over there.Never change money on the street as it is fake .The food is good and plenty of places to choose from,so hope this is of some use to you June:occasion1

Hi
Helena Sands, beautiful hotel, we stayed next door in Majestic which was lovely but the Helana Sands appeared just a little classier. We met a couple staying there so went there one night. Lovely Hotel and the red wine was much nicer than our hotel, although I think our food was better. They said they food was good but not as much choice as we had at Majestic.
It is in quiter part of Sunny Beach but if you want lively it is easy enough to walk along the beachside at the back of the hotel which is littered with hotels, bars, restaurants and shops.
As for cash we used cash machine outside the Helena Sands hotel with no problems and reasonable exchange rate.
If i can help you with anything else just ask, we just been in May
