We did a tour of Bulgaria last year. I can't recall Sunny Beach but I can assure you its a lovely country. It was just the end of the skiing season when we were there and I didn't see much in the way of night life. Maybe Sunny Beach is a sunny beach area and so they will cater for tourists. Do try to get out and see some of the county.

Hi
I Went to sunny beach in september, the resort itself is lovely, lots of bars, restaurants and shops, beware most of the goods in the shops are fake, especially the purfume. The night life is good and there is a main strip where all the bars are.Its so cheap out there, 4 of us had a 3 course meal and 4 drinks for around 20 quid. Also they have happy hour in most pubs and we had 4 alcoholic drinks for 5 Lev (around 2 quid). Silver and gold is cheap and good quality, i bought some silver earings for 8 lev (just under 4.00)and they are really nice. Do take some warm clothes with you, We saw photos of our hotel - (chrisemtema) flooded in June so just be aware. So hope you have a good time. Chrissy

Hi Karen,
Do you mean the Sunny Victory Complex? Its made up of self catering apartments rather than hotel rooms.

sunny beach is a lovely resort havent heard of the victory tho,if youre after serious shopping go to varna its half the price of the resorts.a taxi will take you there, and ask what time you wish to be picked up, and he will come back for you. seriously.ther are plenty of restaurants, bars etc. and a casino.watch out for the prostitutes on the strip tho, warn your parents, and tell your mum to hold on to your dad, and they dont care even if a man has got a woman on his arm. its good fun to watch them tho.the beach is lovely and clean golden sand, beware of the rain storms too as the heavens just open unexpectedly. im sure you will enjoy it I went last year in June temps, approx 77 degrees.enjoy hope this helps.

Hi, We went to Sunny Beach a couple of years ago with our teenage boys, there are a few night clubs to choose from. SB is a large resort with plenty going on. the beaches are full of sunbeds now so if you don,t want to pay for a sunbed which can cost abit if you use them everyday, you can only use the back of the beach to put your towel down. been to bulgaria 3 times and going again this year to St Konstantine, the food in Hotel I've found leaves alot to be desires, so always go B&B, food is so cheap to buy. Watch out for money changes coming upto you on the street, they rip you off or give you fake notes, we used the Crown kiosks to change our money you'll find them along the main promenade.
There's also a little train that runs around SB costs a couple of Lev's they pick up and drop off at different hotels so just find the one for yours comes in handy if you don't fancy the walk.

I stayed at the Galdiola Hotel in Sunny Beach. Lovely food, nice rooms. The beaches are superb, though when we were there, there seemed to be leech type things in the sea, they clung onto you when you came out.
Some people had bad stomachs in the hotel, the rep told people with week stomachs not to eat the eggs as the chickens were fed with dead meat. We never touched an egg after that.
Bears meadow is a fantastic night out, with acts from all over the world.
The local beer is very good too, but don't be tempted to give any money to anyone who comes to serenade you when out at night, you'll never get rid of them.
You can have a massage on the beach for very little money.
A fantastic cheap holiday.

Hi Bazzeruk.
have to say I agree with your question about all the food poisoning talk we have been going in and out of sunny beach for nearly 20 years now and have never had any problems with food ,the only time i ever had a problem with a bad stomach was when I had Mushroom soup which I do not like.
