grand hotel sunny beach

has any one stayed in this hotel i have booked it for 2009 and am worried about some of the reviews any info i would be gratefull

Liz,

hotel reviews are as relative as any other kind of review. You will hear both good and bad. If you have a wonderful stay on your vacation, other guests staying the exact same period will have a terrible experience.

Never stayed there myself, but at the Royal Beach right opposite, and from what I can tell, it looks a bit worn down...

Lizzy, which one do you mean?
Grand Hotel (Oasis) in Sunny Beach or Grand Hotel Sunny Beach.
Have stayed in the GH Oasis so can give comment if it's that one

Lizzy, I presume you have read the reports on the hotel section, bit up and down.
It seems to have gone AI which is not a very good idea in Bulgaria.

The hotel itself is ideally placed in the resort being right on the promenade/beach within minutes of the centre. Most people say the rooms are fine , most complaints are about the food. This is a common complaint for hotels but due to the cheapness for meals most people eat out as there is something for everyone.

thanks toonman wouldnt normally go ai but we got a good deal for august 2009 1800 for 2 adults 2 children its now would be 2400 with balkan not bothered about the food as we will eat out was bothered more about groups of teenagers as its advertised as family hotel and sunbeds been broke but i suppose a lot can alter before next august thanks toonman
