| Hi
Does anyone have any information on the sea star resort in Taba and what it is like??
I am off there in September 2004 for 2 weeks.

| I have just come back from the very same place! Taba itself is not very entertaining - there is actually nothing there except other hotels! The hotel itself is pretty nice, although if you are planning to eat in the Italian, Fish or Steak House restaurants, you'll have to think again as they're not built yet! You can however eat from the menus from these places, it's just you'll be sitting in the main restaurant. Bear in mind that the menu tends to be the same every night (and day) of beef and rice but you can get a shuttle bus up to the Hilton which is just up the road where they have a few restaurants and a pub with a very wide menu. Prepare to sign for absolutely everything you have, but prices are cheap. If you want any information on the diving in the area, I spent a few days doing just that, I may be able to help. Or if there's anything else you want to know, just ask and I will see what I can do!

| Maybe worthwhile to note is that the beach is quite far from the hotel, about 500 metres down the road and on the other side of the road.
The area is very good for excursions; - Moses mountain and St Catherine monastery, Coloured Canyon, Pharoahs Island with Salah el Din Castle, an evening in Tarrabeen near Nuweiba, an evening in Dahab ( more shops, cafes and restaurants than Tarrabeen ), boat trips and diving from the Marina at Taba Heights.
